Baptisia Australis. False indigo. This shrubby perennial forms a rounded masses of asparagus like stems covered in pea like foliage in spring summer and autumn. In late spring they develop Flower spikes of intense blue pea like flowers. Native to America the name Australis just means southern. A great low maintenance perennial which has low watering requirements so it a great drought tolerant plant. Full sun to part shade. 1m by 90cm.
