Dicliptera suberecta. This Central South American drought tolerant perennial is great for the sunny border garden. It has soft grey nearly felty rounded small leaves. In spring it burst in to show with red tubular firework like flowers. These flowers attract many different pollinators. If cut back regularly throughout the year it will flower 9 months of the year. This plant likes it hot and dry once established. It will spread to fill spaces in mixed garden beds well so great used as a spot filler. Evergreen. Full sun to part shade. 1.5m by 1.5m
